Perhaps you've been searching for a particular item, but no matter how hard you've looked you just cannot seem to find it. This is a common challenge that many of our clients actually experience.
Or maybe you've spotted something that's almost perfect, but is not quite what you're looking for. It might be the wrong size, shape or not quite the right style. Or perhaps its not quite in the condition that you'd hoped.
Our antique reproduction service offers our clients bespoke, quality, commissioned pieces that are made using traditional methods and materials.
You tell us what you'd like, even right down to the colour and any other minute details that you'd like. We may also offer you some expert advice based upon our years of experience in commissioning antique reproductions, that will compliment your own ideas. We then get to work on creating your dream piece for you, its that simple.
And I am pleased to say that the feedback that we receive from clients is amazing. They comment on the quality, workmanship and overall presentation of the piece.
We will consider any commissioned piece of work for you, and we are able to offer a clear indication of costs and delivery dates so that you can immediately begin to plan where in your home you are going to put your commissioned piece.
Of course, each commissioned piece is 100% individual and personal for you and your home, and we always ensure that the construction and finish is of the highest quality. And of course each antique reproduction commission is priced individually for you.
We have been commissioned to make this impressive and yet elegant solid oak dining table, with a Cotswold lime stone finish.
The table was Hand made and finished in our workshop in the Cotswolds and can be made to any size or style.
OK, in this day of mass produced furniture, it was an honour to get asked to make a "Georgian " oak refectory table for a local land owner in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
Here's the history: The Oak tree stood in a hedgerow over looking Malmesbury town centre & Abbey for around 350 years, it died naturally around ten years ago, when the land owner felled it and had the sense and foresight to have it professionally planked and air dried correctly until we selected and collected the timber about five weeks ago and began to create a refectory table, so the tree could be recycled and go "back home"!
I've taken pictures from the start, the tree stump where it was felled and its view from the hedgerow, collecting the timber from its owner ( pictured), through the build and finally back in the dining room in Malmesbury where it will be used with pride as a family dining table. I'm pleased to say the client was delighted with result and could not believe it was a new table. I was delighted to be part of a very individual project, that will be around for many many years to come!
I hope you enjoy this little part of history too!
We've supplied the card table and then we were asked to make four comfortable armchairs and two side tables to accompany it. The client was very happy with results.
And we were asked to make this stool, we can make any stool to any size and top cover in your fabric provided.
